Repeating patterns

This week we have been looking at making patterns from 2D shapes.  We tried the games at http://nlvm.usu.edu/en/nav/frames_asid_271_g_2_t_3.html?open=instructions&from=category_g_2_t_3.html  It was tricky at first but we are managing well now!
We tried putting shapes together so that there were no gaps on the table.  We found that it was impossible to fit circles together without leaving a space!
We copied patterns from each other and made our own repeating patterns.
