World of Work
We have had lots of visitors to our class during World of Work Week.
A dog trainer explained how he trained dogs and demonstrated how he used a 'clicker' to show them where to go to next. He got one of the pupils to act as a dog and follow the clicks from his clicker! He was very patient and answered all our questions.
Mr Burns came in to tell us about how he helped people who were homeless to find a home and how he helped people who had perhaps lost their jobs to stay in their homes. Again everyone had lots of questions and he kindly stayed for a long time in order to answer them all.
Paul came to describe his job as a Home Link Worker. Although we know him from seeing him in school, he gave us a quiz to see what we knew about him which came up with a few surprises!

What an awesome array of visitors you had during World of Work Week. In our class, we have been discussing what we want to do when we grow up. A lot of us want to be teachers!
